Painters Get Stuck Too!!

When my muse / brain / eye gets stuck and I cannot apply paint to canvas
I push myself outside.

Easy to do in a hot summer environment.  Not so easy when it takes bundling
up against snow / sleet / and ice.

I find that the easiest place to paint in the world is a tropical zone.

My studio in Bali is always paradise.  It has windows and gossamer draperies
blowing in trade winds.   I look out on  to only blues and greens.  I see the seas
darkening with storms or an occasional cloud (can be rare there), but always blues
and greens.

Studios around the planet help me to stay in a zone of creativity, and balance.

The solution is a mere flight away.  A wandering of sorts.  Finding the pad Thai that
feeds my body, or the sate' that spices up my thoughts.  Or even low country staples
that are fun to eat, but bulky and create a slower pace, a weighted approach!

Wherever I go, whichever location worldwide, I remind myself that a painter
owes no muse to anyone.  A painter paints to please the Gods.  To only be a vehicle
to express what is all around her.  To absorb the light, the mood, the expression.

Paint on!!
