Studios on the World

I am the luckiest artist that I know.
I travel the world and am inspired by those travels.
Whether I am working in studio in Vietnam,
France, Bali, or the Low Country in the US
I gather inspiration from everything that I see, hear, feel, and smell
around me.
That is why multiple studios are the ONLY way to go.
The people of Vietnam are sweet and accommodating.
The people of France are BOLDER and louder - drinking wine
and fresh bread with tapenades that blow our minds here in the US.
The people of Bali are non intrusive, private, and kind.
Here in the US there are more interruptions.  Good interruptions, but
still interruptions.  More family stops by, or STAYS!!  More people to cook
for, shop for, care about.  I mean there is NO caring like caring for family.

So my studios become different kinds of inspiration.
My studios represent the best of where I am.
In the jungle, on the coast, on the cliffs, or overlooking a city.
They are diverse, like I am.  They are inspirational in their own way.

So the luckiest artist that I know must focus pretty hard to not get distracted
by whatever beauty happens to be around her.
But isn't that what a muse is all about.
Enough distraction to be creative.
Enough beauty to inspire.
Enough adventure to create something different every time.
