ART and Approval 

Oftentimes I paint just for me.

When it is a commission, that changes the mix.

But painting just for me is pretty heady.

No client to please (until they reach out from the multitudes and buy it)

No time limit.

No size limit.

No color direction.

No demands of time / space / end user / all open.

The hardest thing about ART and Approval is that it only needs MY approval anyway!

Truly that is the harshest criticism.

If I engage on the canvas and like it.

It is a HUGE thing.

99 % of what artists do is never seen.

To create something and get past the inner critic to the external critic, is HUGE.

Without the inner critic, there would be MORE sheer creative force bursting out.

Alot of that RAW stuff is stymied.

It stopped at the source.

No reason to risk it.

No reason to try.

So to paint or draw or sing is the most difficult part of all of this.

And we must keep doing it.

Stand up to Approval and APPROVE your own creation.
