I find it difficult to be very productive on HOT Summer days.
I find it much more attractive to just lay around and drink cold water
and find the coolest spot with A/C and fans nearby.
Finding motivation in a heated environment is not the easiest.
The weather has alot to do with how I feel about just about anything,
but finding your muse and actually creating something.... WHEW!
I tend to think about things way too long.
And hesitate on a color palette and a direction.
And then, WHAM the small bit of inspiration is long gone and I am back to laying around.
Is this typical?
I have no idea.
Most artists do not talk about motivation or production or even how much they paint.
Most artists just kind of do their own thing
at their own pace.
And leave it at that.
I try to be a bit more systematic about it,
but honestly it may make no difference.
Not having a comparison can make it tough to judge just how I measure up.
