The most wonderful thing about being a painter is that it can last a lifetime.
Think of Picasso.
Think of Monet.
They painted as long as they lived.
A long prosperous life while doing what they love.
Some become wealthy.
And some never sell a painting.
It is all good.
Painting is something that you do for the sake of itself.
Not for the money.
I will probably never be super wealthy, or famous.
But my work feeds my soul.
That is important in itself.
Feeding your muse, your passion, and your life.
I only dream of painting.
I only think of painting.
I only want to paint.
Everything else is window dressing.
It is the foundation of who I am and who I will become.
How many professions feed your soul?
They can become a means to an end.
They can be challenging and a learning experience.
They can make you a better person.
But it is important to always feed your soul with what you do.
Spend your time looking for the vehicle that feeds it.
The method that takes you somewhere else.
The road that is your destiny.
And travel it.
Your way.
Your authentic life spent doing what you love.
Mine is painting.
