Hurricane Rain and Fall Influence ART

I love rain!
There is something about it that just makes me feel all wrapped
in cuddly air.
I work so well when it is raining.
I push the paints into configurations that
only exist because of it.
They do not get watery and washed
but stronger
bolder
and demonstrate the struggle to stay on the canvas
in spite of the weather
in spite of the deluge around them.

Rain makes my work stronger.
Rain pushes me to paint more
and think about it less.
Truly the recipe for greatness for an ARTIST.
Do not overthink your work.
Let it flow off your brushes
onto a neutral space.
Let it fill the edges of a canvas
and flow past the normal boundaries.

Strong weather
wind
rain
and swirls of drama
make the canvas
less stable
and less defining.
I love that.
I want it to grab the attention
of all that I bring to it
and play way past what I expect.
Shapes blurr
and paint defines the forms.

I love to paint in the rain.
