There are many galleries
on Facebook
that offer opportunities to sell work.
The basis for which ones you belong
to is really the kind of art
that you create.
As an ABSTRACT painter
my favorites are
the sites that focus on ABSTRACT work.
They have some extremely dynamic
ARTISTS that I interact with everyday.
ABSTRACT ART
is such a special
genre
that we deserve our own sites!
Many traditionalists
do not understand our work
and tend to not be real
interested in looking
beyond the simple
statement that they see.
Most ABSTRACT Painters
feel about the same about landscapes
still lifes
and portraits.
I am not drawn to them.
I do not collect them.
And so for me to critique them
or offer any input
to those ARTISTs
is hardly fair.
I love seeing new
up and coming
ABSTRACT ARTISTS
and focus on
those that I relate too
and want to collect.
Those ARTISTS
draw me in
and spur me to
to create better work.
If you are also an ABSTRACT ARTIST
on these sites
enter the word ABSTRACT in your search
bar and many groups will
emerge.
I always look for fellow friends on
them.
Ones that I already respect.
That is the main driving force for me to
join a site.
If I recognize ARTISTS
I am more willing to be a part
of it.
Almost a recommendation for me
to join it.
It works for me.
Another thing to look for is the number of members.
You want you work to reach as many
members as possible
and for them to share your posts.
If they share
you reach all of their friends too.
And make sure that you are grateful
to those that like your work
or offer comments.
Sharing,
commenting
and liking are the ways that you reach
more FB members
and your work is seen by a larger audience.
All fundamental things
but ones that not everyone understands
until they begin selling work.
These are the engines that fuel sales.
