We have all heard this quote.
It means that cooperative living
is more effective and efficient living.
And it usually is true.
I do not mean communal living.
Or constricted
or controlled living at all.
I mean the collective
services serve
the collective group.
As in sharing energy.
Sharing an organic garden.
Sharing recycling
and trash pick up.
Sharing exterior lighting
picnic areas
gathering spaces.
And sharing a quality of life.
Like a good small town.
I hope that sustainable communities
will deliver all of that and more
to their occupants.
A real sense of community from
a group of people that want to be off
the grid
but not perhaps alone in the wilderness.
