Waking up the Southern Way

When it is summer in the South in the US there is really no end to heat and humidity.
I know, I know, 82 degrees is MUCH better than 99 degrees and sunny, but
somehow it is not really EVER comfortable.
You watch people adjust.
The walkers, and runners get up earlier and earlier,
and still end up drenched in sweat, and gasping.
A tolerance for the weather is about the best they can do.

Longing for the softness of a Northern summer.
Longing for the ability to just be on a boat and feel the wind.
Longing for the walks for ice cream and actually feeling refreshed.
Longing for a temperature that is actually workable to get anything done.

So I wake up and rush to A/C.
I blog, refresh my social media, respond to requests, and inquiries.
I stay in an atmosphere that is workable and productive.
Hot coffee?  Nope.
Cool yogurt - flax flour - lemon water.
That is the best that I can do.

And it is truly a Southern way to wake up!!
Healthier than most.
Quieter than I have ever been.
But a gentle artistic way to welcome a new day.
