Being surrounded by ART
and not all of it is mine or my collection of my favorites.
Being in a gallery for a few days is intoxicating!!
Surrounded by art that is honored
and viewed is very nice.
Such wonderful feedback on my work.
Which is the ONLY reason I do this.
I love to hear what the public thinks.
I love to hear comments.
I love to hear reactions.
ART is so personal
and without feedback
you honestly begin to see it through jaded eyes.
It is only worth what others think
in reality.
Most artists are very sensitive to what others say about their work.
I am not.
I do not like bad behavior,
but if someone has criticism of my work
and can express it to me
I am in rapt attention.
It is all so subjective.
And I like to know if I hit any notes with people.
It just feels right to hear their comments.
We all have opinions about what we love
and what we want to own.
So hearing it from gallery guests is raw and real..
Especially children's reaction.
I love their open spirit
taking it all in.
After all in Abstracts they have a strong opinion.
They see color and shapes
and forms
and they know instantly if they love it.
Surrounded by ART today.
And enjoying the gallery scene.
