When there is a hurricane
or any natural disaster
We have to reach out to
people and just help them.
Especially older people that live
near by.
Today is a fence mending sort of day.
We have a little older woman
that has a fence that was
torn down by a tree falling.
Her home has alot of
deferred maintenance
so this could end up being
only the beginning in
this quest of love.
I think of my Mom
when I see this woman.
Probably a bit lonely
with her husband gone
and her children living far
away.
I extend a hand to her
in hopes that someone close to
my Mom does that daily
to support her and help.
So today is a fence mending
sort of day.
And Little Helen will
enjoy seeing us working on
her yard.
It is truly just a bit of labor of love.
