Painters Who Travel!

I have found that creative people who travel become more creative when exposed to other cultures
and other people.   I know it sounds pretty elementary to me, but some people get so stuck in how
they feed their muse, they become afraid to shake it up and take chances with WHERE they do it.
A studio is an awful safe place to create what you know.
A studio is a totally controlled environment that offers a cozy space engineered to support you.
And what if all of a sudden you are painting on a sand dune, in full sun, in heat and humidity.
Could you do it?
Well I will put this to the test today.
I have created internationally for a long time.
But to paint when I have little or no control over outside elements is a new one.
It may be a bust.
Have you ever done it fellow artists?
Painted at your in laws?
Your grown childs house?
A freinds house?
Where you do not control the music, the temperature,
the surrounding envelope that is part of the process?

It becomes an enduring challenge to not let it change or destroy your chi,
your muse.

I am putting this to the test today by painting on the dunes.
And watching the sunset while doing it.
A new experience for this abstract painter.
And one that will need to be reported to my readers after.

I will not try to control any element of it, other than myself.
And see what happens!
