When I am naming a series
I pause and see what I am feeling while painting.
Sometimes it is obvious.
But other times it appears to be totally random.
Sometimes it takes NO pause at all.
Soul Climb was so obvious to me.
Climbing out of a darkness and into accomplishing light.
Bax series is named after my youngest son.
No brainer.
Portal is deeper.
More meaningful.
When I have a series in my head,
and it just rattles around and consumes me
I have to paint it
and the name just sticks in my head.
Sometimes people are confused by my series titles.
They just do not see the correlation.
I suppose it is like naming a pet
or a book that you are writing.
When it is written into a screenplay the writer may see a different title.
And the director changes it again.
The creative process is like that.
We all give it our own stamp.
Our own label.
Just part of the fun.
